SCHOOL STRUCTURE
Kindergarten:
The curriculum is comprehensive including Quran, Sunnah, Arabic, and Islamic Studies in an age appropriate, fun, and interactive package. They must be in Kindergarten to register for this course.
All other courses:
Our program is established on levels for Arabic Studies&Tajweed and school grade for Islamic Studies&Memorization. The main purpose of this structure is to improve the learning process through:
- Having a knowledge-based curriculum and placement process will enrich our students’ learning experience for Arabic Studies&Tajweed. Therefore, attending to students needs based on their learning curve. A sign up for evaluation will be sent to all registered students at the beginning of August.
- The curriculum for Islamic Studies&Memorization is best implemented by grouping students by school grade taking into consideration their readiness which is influenced by their age, autonomy, and psychosocial maturity.
In every session we will provide:
- 80 minutes Islamic Studies & Memorization
- 80 minutes Arabic Studies & Tajweed
- Break in between: 15 minutes for first session and 20min for second session (to accommodate for Zuhr prayers in the Mosque).
Arabic Studies & Tajweed Curriculum
Arabic is an eloquent language that has many details like pronouns, grammar, and much more. Reading and understanding the Quran in Arabic directly gives it more meaning, awakens our fitrah, and individuality to the reader. You lose out on some of the intricacies of the meanings when reading the translation. Therefore, we find that learning Arabic language is essential to learning the Quran and all its meanings, stories, morals, and teachings
IWS has collaborated with Dr. Eman Elshahed, Mada Albayan Educational Services founder. The curriculum is organized into 11 levels and will focus on 3 aspects:
- Phonics and basic grammar
- Arabic Stories and sight words
- Quran and Tajweed Rules

Islamic Studies & Memorization Curriculum:
Our program will accommodate students up to grade eleven and focus on the

- Aqidah (Islamic Beliefs)
- Fiqh (Ritual of worship)
- History (Prophets)
- Sirah (Prophet Muhammad)
- Tafseer (Translation of the Quran)
- Hifz (Quran Memorization)
